The topic of "Belt and Road" has been a popular theme in recent years. Among the many topics related to it, cultural exchange occured along the Silkroad is a frequently brought up one. In this context, the eastward spread of Buddhsit grottoes from northern India to heart of ancient China carries some of the most facintating stories.

The author of this site intends to illustrate this particular part of history through a series of magnificant photos that were taken over a period of long time along the silkroad. Most importantly, he wants to bring up more thoughts and ideas on how may we use “Belt and Road" to extend and expend space of local culture.
